Plotlines: What to do in your garden right now
Sustain: The Australian Food Network is hosting a webinar on edible gardening and urban agriculture.
What to do in your garden right now
Soak in water any pulled nettles or borage to turn into nitrogen-rich liquid feeds that can be applied to all plants throughout their growing season.
Protect edges of any garden beds from encroaching lawn.
Keep on hand a stash of green manure seeds to sow in areas of bare soil.
Add more soil on top of your growing potatoes, making sure to leave some foliage exposed.
Take a break from the weeding, planting and mulching and make time to sit back and enjoy the solace of a garden amid the strangeness of a pandemic.
