Patna, Oct 1 (UNI) Even after issuance of notification for the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections, the issue of seat sharing among constituents of two main contenders of the power in the state, ruling NDA and Grand Alliance still remained unresolved and leaders of both the stakeholders are engaged in crucial talks facing jerks and hurdles in striking the deal.
Notification for election in 71 Assembly seats has been issued today, setting the election process in motion for the first phase of polling, but leaders of Grand Alliance and NDA are still struggling hard to finalise seat sharing among the constituents. while RJD is facing difficulty over claim on number of seats by Congress, LJP is creating troubles for NDA.
The working president of Bihar unit of JD(U) Ashok chaudhari claimed that issue of seat sharing among constituents of NDA would be resolved in a day or two. There was no difficulty in seat sharing among the constituents as impression was being created, he added.
Mr Chaudhary, when asked about issuance of notification for the first phase of polling in 71 seats of Assembly, said that last date for filing of nominations for first phase of polling was October 8. The issue of seat sharing would be resolved definitely in a day or two and there would be sufficient time for filing of nomination papers, he added.
The working president of JD(U) evaded direct reply over deadlock created in seat sharing in NDA due to claims made by LJP, saying such issue was sensitive which should not be discussed in media. Talks were still on and he was hopeful that the issue of seat sharing would be settled soon, he remarked.
