NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading on a positive note at 02:30PM (IST) on Thursday.
Shares of Himatsingka Seide (up 18.43 per cent), Electrosteel Castings (up 16.38 per cent), Gujarat Ambuja Exports (up 12.29 per cent), Trident (up 11.04 per cent) and Bhansali Engineering Polymers (up 10.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While GVK Power & Infrastructure (down 5.0 per cent), Brightcom Group (down 4.9 per cent), Symphony (down 3.6 per cent) and Nelcast (down 3.22 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.76 per cent up at 14980.96 around 02:30PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 158.55 points at 11406.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 586.0 points at 38653.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Computer Age Management Services Ltd., Alok Industries, YES Bank and Indian Hotels were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
