Cape Town City defender Ebrahim Seedat is set to sign for newly joined Premiership side TS Galaxy FC.

The 27-year-old joined the Mother City side in 2016 and has played an integral part since the club bought their Premier Soccer League (PSL) status from Mpumalanga Black Aces to compete in the Premiership.

The left-back is now strongly linked with a move up north, with Galaxy set to announce the player's arrival before the end of the week.

Seedat has collected a Telkom Knockout and MTN8 winners medal during his time at City but has recently fallen down the pecking order under coach Jan Olde Riekerink.

The former Milano United defender has just under a year left on his contract and City are keen to cash in before his deal expires.

Seedat's suitors, Galaxy FC, recently bought the PSL status of Highlands Park for a cool R60 million as they bid farewell to the National First Division (NFD) to compete in next season's Premiership which commences on 17 October.

Sport24 has reached out to Galaxy for comment on whether they have completed the deal with Cape Town City for Seedat's services.
