Haryana registers 1,313 new COVID-19 cases, 20 fatalities

Chandigarh, Oct 1 (UNI) With the detection of 1,313 fresh COVID-19 cases in Haryana on Thursday, the infection tally in the state surged to 1,29,912.
The death toll also mounted to 1,402 in the state after 20 more patients succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed four lives in Panipat, three in Hisar, two each in Faridabad, Rewari and Fatehabad and one life each in Gurugram, Ambala, Karnal, Jhajjar, Nuh, Sirsa and Yamunanagar districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 208 were reported from Gurugram district, 164 from Hisar, 163 from Faridabad, 94 from Sonipat, 87 from Rewari, 82 from Panchkula, 59 each from Yamunanagar and Ambala, 48 each from Karnal and Bhiwani, 39 from Kurukshetra, 38 from Sirsa, 37 each from Panipat, Palwal and Fatehabad, 35 from Jhajjar, 31 from Kaithal, 14 each from Charkhi Dadri and Mahendergarh, 13 from Rohtak and six new cases from Nuh district.
Of the 1402 fatalities so far, 221 deaths have been reported from Faridabad district, 174 from Gurugram, 107 from Karnal, 92 from Ambala, 91 from Kurukshetra, 86 from Panchkula, 81 from Panipat, 73 from Yamunanagar, 64 from Hisar, 63 each from Rohtak and Sirsa, 44 from Sonipat, 40 from Kaithal, 38 from Fatehabad, 36 from Bhiwani, 29 from Rewari, 27 from Jind, 25 from Jhajjar, 23 from Nuh, 16 from Palwal, 7 from Mahendergarh while two deaths have been reported from Charkhi Dadri district.
Gurugram is the worst-affected district with 20,921 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad with 19,982 cases, Sonepat with 8,355, Ambala 7,969, Karnal 7,375, Panipat 7,357, Hisar 6,351, Panchkula 6,074, Rohtak 5,937, Rewari 5,797, Kurukshetra 5,684, Yamunanagar 4,240, Sirsa 3,807, Mahendergarh 3,467, Bhiwani 2,794, Palwal 2,633, Jhajjar 2,524, Kaithal 2,470, Fatehabad 2,368, Jind 2,059, Nuh 1,123 and Charkhi Dadri with 625 cases.
Apart from these there are 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens who have been found COVID-19 positive, the bulletin added.
