Corona tally reaches 84,664 in state as 1,013 fresh cases found on Thursday, recovery rate jumps to 85.58 percent

Ranchi, Oct 1 (UNI) With a total of 1,103 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Thursday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 84,664.
During the day 9 deaths were reported including 3 from Ranchi and 1 each from Bokaro, Deoghar, Dhanbad, East Singhbhum, Godda and Hazaribagh districts after which the overall death count has increased to 721 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent.
As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 11,482 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 72,461. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 721.
On Thursday a maximum number of 266 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 165 in East Singhbhum, 106 in Bokaro, 58 in Hazaribagh and 50 in Dhanbad (top five districts).
A total of number of 1,119 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 448 from Ranchi, 108 from Dhanbad, 60 from West Singhbhum, 56 each from Hazaribagh and Deoghar districts and 49 from Gumla district.
Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 80 percent mark to currently stand at 85.58 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 22,95,654 samples have been collected out of which 22,86,107 have been tested and 22,01,443 have turned out to be negative.
