Hathras rape case: AIDWA, Dalit Shoshan Mokitimorcha, DYFI, CITU, SFI & other non-political outfits protest at Shimla

Shimla, Oct 1 (UNI) Left Wing All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA), Dalit Shoshan Muktimorcha Democratic Youth Federation of India, Central Indain Trade Union, Student Federaton of India, Ravidas Sabha and Himachal Pradehs Samta Sainki Dal and other organisations staged protest against the UP's Hathras gang-rape and brutal murder case, here on Thursday.

Various organisations shouted slogans against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alleging the government sheltering the culprits of the heinous crime and disposing of the body of victim in the darkness in the wee hours of Sep 30. They alleged that the sexual violence against the woman and the people belonging to vulnerable sections have incrased in the Uttra Pradesh.
AIDWA General Secretary Ms Phalama Chauhan said that UP government is going soft on the unlawful elements and trying to the impose the Varna Vyavastha of Manusmriti on the people by doing away the Indian Constitutions to shelter the perpetrators of sexual offense and other crime violating the women and SC /ST atrocity act.
Condemning the sexual violence against the Hatras victim, Ms Chauhan said that the instance of BJP MLA or Minister Kuldeep Singh Singere who was involved in the similar crime was also covered up by the Mr Yogi Government.
She said that Jungle Raj of UP government is making or preying up on the woman and girl as the culprits and goon belonging to higher social strata being protected by the state Government thereby ruining the law and order in the state.
Ms Chauhan said that sexual violence against women and juvenile crime are also increasing in the state of Himachal Pradsesh as the Jai Ram Government could not address this burning issues. She said that women and girls belonging to Dalits sections are on the target group of the anti-social elmenets who are bieng treated worst than an animal.
A memorandum was also submitted to the President of India through Deputy Commissioner demanding stringent action against the accused of Hathras gang rape case. Demanding justice to affected family members or victim, they said that the victims families should be provided proper security as they are not safe and mistreated by the UP and Delhi police so far.
Himachal Pradesh Samata Sainik Dal in another memorandum submitted to the President of India through Deputy Commissioner Shimla condemned the Sep 29 incident showing solidarity with the victim family. The memorandum said that the way the body of the victim was disposed of by the Police without allowing the affected family to take her body to their home for rituals and depriving them from the last right after her demise in Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi is highly condemnable. The incident is also condemned by the Kulluand Himachal Pradesh Anisuchitjati Samaj also.
The Congress protesters outside the party office Shimla and burned the effigy of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditaynath outside the Deputy Commissioner here on Thursday.
State Congress President Mr Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Former BJP president and chairman of State Finance Commission Mr Satpal Singh Sati also condemned the incident of gang-rape and murder of Hathrus victim in a press statement, issued here today.
