In Bihar, the criminals shot and killed a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader on Thursday morning in the Beur police station area of the capital Patna.
Police sources said that Tejapratap Nagar Mohalla Nivasi BJP leader Rajesh Kumar Jha alias Raju Baba (45) had gone for a walk in the morning when the bike-ridden criminals shot and injured him.
The injured BJP leader was admitted to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), where he died during treatment. Sources said the reasons for the murder were not immediately known. Police arrived on the spot after knowing about the incident and sent the body for postmortem. The matter is being investigated.
