In Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh, a 22-year-old Dalit girl died after allegedly being raped. The mother of a Dalit girl hailing from the Gasadi area of Balrampur alleges that the rapists broke her daughter's leg and back. However, the police have denied it.
The girl's mother told reporters late Wednesday night, "My daughter left home for admission to a college on Tuesday." On the way, three-four people kidnapped her and took her to a room.
There she was injected and gang-raped. The accused then put her on a rickshaw, which left her outside our house. They broke both her legs and waist. She was unable to stand and could not speak.
