NEW DELHI: MidCap stocks were trading higher at 02:23PM (IST) on Thursday.
Shares of Shriram Transport Finance (up 7.02 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 6.09 per cent), RBLBANK (up 5.27 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 4.08 per cent) and L&T Finance Holdings (up 3.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Vodafone Idea (down 3.45 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises (down 2.51 per cent), Ajanta Pharma (down 1.93 per cent), Kansai Nerolac Paints (down 1.93 per cent) and MPhasis (down 1.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE MidCap index was trading 0.88 per cent up at 14835.11 around 02:23PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 172.85 points at 11420.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 639.87 points at 38707.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Computer Age Management Services Ltd., Alok Industries, YES Bank and Indian Hotels were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Computer Age Management Services Ltd., Welspun India, Ipca Labs, Indiabulls Ventures and APL Apollo Tube hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Benara Bearings & Pistons Ltd., Focus Suites Solutions & Services Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Real Touch Finance Ltd. and KJMC Financial Services Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
