Covid recovery rate improves to 86 pc in UP

Lucknow, Oct 1 (UNI) With total Covid cases in Uttar Pradesh crosses 4 lakh mark, the active cases in the state continued to reduce with total active patients coming down to 50,883 on Thursday.
A total of 4,095 fresh cases were recorded and 4444 people recovered during the day.
The recovery percentage in the state has also gone up to 86.04 per cent and the total number of positive cases has gone up to 4,03,101 cases.
A total of 5,864 people lost their lives to the lethal virus with 80 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours.
State Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said, that during the past 2 weeks the number of active patients have come down by 26 per cent.
The official said, on Wednesday 1,64,787 sample tests were done and now the total Covid tests in the state has reached another milestone of 1,02,63,709 so far.
Mr Prasad said there are 24,135 positive asymptomatic patients in home isolation. As many as 3634 patients were admitted in private hospitals and 109 are in semi-paid hotels while rest are in the government-run Covid hospitals.
Over 3.94 lakh surveillance teams have visited 1,27,439 areas of the state and visited 2.57 crore houses to check the health of over 12.75 crore people.
