Senior MHA Security Adviser K Vijay Kumar with CRPF DG review anti-insurgency operations in Jharkhand in ahead of Bihar polls

Daltonganj/Ranchi, Sep 30 (UNI) Senior security adviser to the Union home ministry
K Vijay Kumar along with CRPF director-general AP Maheshwari on Wednesday held a high level meeting with the officials of the police and CRPF at Dagra picket located under Naudiha Police Station area of Palamu district.
During the meeting review was done over the anti insurgency operations underway in bordering areas of Bihar in wake of assembly polls in the neighbouring state of Bihar.
It was directed that in coordination with Bihar Police teams anti maoists operations should be undertaken.
In the meeting it was decided that all necessary steps should be taken to close the maoist corridor extending from Chakarbandha of Gaya to Chhattisgarh. The police and CRPF personnel were asked to target the maoists squad led by Pramod Kumar Mishr and Sandeep Yadav.
K Vijay Kumar and CRPF DG AP Maheshwari also encouraged the jawans involved in anti maoists operations and also listened to their problems. The senior officials also had lunch with the jawans at Dagra picket and planted saplings.
Dagra picket is located just three kilometres away from Bihar borders.
Earlier in the day, the officials had called upon Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building on courtsey visit during which Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh and DGP MV Rao were also present.
