Unlock 5: Theaters, multiplexes to open with 50% seating capacity

This will come into effect from October 15

Ministry of Home Affairs today announced the guidelines for unlock 5.

MHA has allowed cinemas, theatres, multiplexes to open with up to 50 per cent of their seating capacity from October 15. Entertainment parks and similar places will be permitted to open from October 15, for which SOP will be issued by Ministry of Health, said MHA.

For re-opening of schools and coaching institutions, state and UTs given powers to take decision after October 15 in graded manner.

Business to Business (B2B) exhibitions will be permitted to open from October 15, for which SOP will be issued by the Department of Commerce, said MHA. For re-opening of schools and coaching institutions, state and UTs given powers to take decision after October 15 in graded manner.

However, international air travel, except those permitted by MHA, will continue to remain shut.
