RS prorogued by President

RS prorogued by President

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha, which was adjourned sine die on September 23, was on Wednesday prorogued by President Ram Nath Kovid.

According to a communique from the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, 'the Rajya Sabha which adjourned sine die on the 23rd September 2020 has been prorogued by the President on the 30th September 2020.'

Truncated monsoon session of the Rajya Sabha was adjourned ahead of its schedule, due to the fears over rising number of Covid cases in the country.

It was originally scheduled to end on October 1.
