Chennai Super Kings became the butt of all jokes on social media on Tuesday after they dropped down to the last spot on the points table of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 following Sunrisers Hyderabad's 15-run win over Delhi Capitals.
Sunrisers Hyderabad was the only team not to register a win in IPL 2020 up until their third match in which they outclassed the Delhi Capitals, who suffered their first defeat in 3 games.
David Warner's side posted 162 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs and then restricted DC to 147 for 7 to win by 15 runs at the Sheikh Zayed International Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Jonny Bairstow (53), Warner (45) and Kane Williamson (41) starred with the bat for the winners while SRH leg-spinner Rashid Khan was adjudged Player of the Match for his bowling figures of 3 for 14 from 4 overs.
The victory helped SRH climb to 6th on the table, ahead of Dinesh Karthik's Kolkata Knight Riders (7th) and MS Dhoni's CSK.
Social media went into a tizzy with CSK trolls and memes after they dropped on the table, which is an extremely rare sight in the IPL as they have been the only side to have made the knockouts every season since the beginning of the cash-rich tournament.

CSK won the IPL 2020 opener against defending champions Mumbai Indians before suffering defeats against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals.
The table is led by Rajasthan Royals despite 2 teams being tied on 4 points with DC and Royal Challengers Bangalore being the other two. RR are leading the race due to their superior net run-rate and also because they have played 2 games while the DC and RCB have played 3.
