Raj govt announces 30 pc PDS shops for women

Jaipur, Sep 30 (UNI) The Rajasthan government on Wednesday announced to provide 30 per cent of new outlets to women under Public Distribution System (PDS).
The initiative which aims to empower the fairer sex was approved by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, following a proposal by the food and civil supplies department, an official statement said here.
The government has also approved an additional budget of Rs 11 crore for the 'Sahyog Evam Uphar Yojna,' run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for financial assistance to the needy and eligible families for daughter's marriage.
