Telangana records 2,103 fresh Coronavirus positive cases, 11  deaths till Tuesday night

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) Telangana continued its upward spiral in Coronavirus cases with 2,103 fresh positive cases reported till 2000 hours on Tuesday night pushing its cumulative caseload to 1,91,386 so far.

COVID-19 death toll climbed to 1,127 with 11 more patients succumbing to the virus during the last 24 hours constituting a case fatality rate of 0.58 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.56 per cent, a state health department bulletin said on Wednesday.

The number of patients recovered from Coronavirus during the last 24 hours was 2,243 pushing the total recoveries in the state to 1,60,933 with a recovery rate of 84.08 while the National recovery rate stood at 83.27 per cent.

During the last 24 hours, 55,359 samples had been tested and of which the reports of 975 samples were awaited, the bulletin said, adding that overall 29,96,001 COVID-19 sample tests had been conducted in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The total number of COVID-19 active cases in the state stood at 29,326, the bulletin said.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits continued to record the highest number of 298 positive cases in the state followed by Medchal Malkajigiri district (176), Ranga Reddy district (172), Nalgonda district (141) and Karimnagar district (103).

The remaining new cases were contributed from other districts in the state, the bulletin added.
