BJP leader Dr Debasish Samanta dies of Covid-19

Kolkata, Sep 30 (UNI) BJP candidate from Contai Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 General Election Dr Debasish Samanta breathed his last due to Covid-19 at a city hospital on Wednesday.
Dr Samanta, who fought deadly Coronavirus for a month, succumbed to the pandemic at 7.10 AM this morning.
With his passing away, a pall of gloom descended on the healthcare fraternity.
He lost to Trinamool Congress' Sishir Adhikary in 2019 Parliamentary election from Contai Lok Sabha constituency.
It might be mentioned that State Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikary also tested Covid-19 positive and was undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
