While there was a slight drop in Covid cases in Chennai in the past few weeks, the 1000+ Covid count trend is back again in the city now.

Chennai:
Tamil Nadu has registered 5,659 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, according to the state's department of health. The overall tally has increased to 5,97,602 in the state.
Chennai City has detected 1,295 fresh cases today, while other districts of the state has recorded 4,364 new Covid infections.
The state saw 67 Covid-19 fatalities today. The total death toll has increased to 9,520.
While there was a slight drop in Covid cases in Chennai in the past few weeks, the 1000+ Covid count trend is back again in the city now.
The state government has further relaxed some of the lockdown restrictions on Tuesday. It has imposed restrictions on suburban trains, schools, colleges, beaches, parks, theatres, swimming pools and other recreational spots, while allowing the opening of government training centres and markets.
