The state capture commission of inquiry will on Monday hear evidence related to the Free State asbestos project, and the R1 billion housing project.

Nthimotse Mokhesi former head of the department of human settlements in the Free State and Martin Mmuso Tsoametsi, former advisor to Free State Housing MEC Mosebenzi Zwane, are expected to take the stand.

Mokhesi has been implicated in the awarding of a controversial R255 million contract for an asbestos audit project. Earlier in September he gave evidence before the Zondo commission on the R1 billion housing project.

The province spent millions of rand between 2010 and 2011 to little or no value.
