The central government started the process of 'unlock' from June, looking at the functioning affected by Corona. Four unlock has been implemented so far. At the same time, the government can issue new guidelines regarding 'Unlock 5' for the month of October. It can also take care of the festive season starting next month.

Last month, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that more activities would be allowed to open outside the Containment Zone. Traders are hoping that during this festive season, the government may increase the relaxation, so as to cash in on consumer demand.

What discounts can be expected in 'Unlock 5' in October?

Malls, salons, restaurants, and gyms have been allowed to reopen with some restrictions. At the same time, the cinema hall, swimming pool, amusement park are still awaiting permission from the government. It is to be seen whether the cinema hall will be allowed to reopen from October, amid strong requests from the Multiplex Association of India. Significantly, only open-air theaters have been allowed to start operations from 21 September.

The tourism sector may get a discount

The activities that have had the greatest impact on this corona crisis include the tourism sector. The tourism sector has suffered a lot due to this epidemic and lockdown. In such a situation, it is believed that in 'Unlock 5' more tourist centers and tourist places can open their doors to travelers.

Many states have already planned to allow the hotels to reopen so that the tourism business which was cold could be resumed. The Sikkim government has decided to allow hotels, home-stays, and other tourism-related services to resume from October 10.

The tourism sector in Kerala may reopen in October. A meeting was held between Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran and representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in which further modalities were discussed.

The Uttarakhand government has also lifted the Kovid-19 ban for tourists. According to the revised set of guidelines, it is no longer mandatory for tourists to travel with a negative report to Corona. In addition, the requirement for a minimum stay of two days in a hotel or homestay has also been removed.
