Coronavirus India Updates: Tally Nears 60 Lakh With Nearly 50 Lakh Recovered

Coronavirus infections in India continue to rise at the fastest pace in the world even as new case additions showed some signs of slowing down.

The country added over 88,000 new cases in a matter of 24 hours taking the total tally close to the 60-lakh-mark in Asia’s third-largest economy, according to the Health Ministry’s update as of 8 a.m. on Sept. 27.
