Mamelodi Sundowns signing Gift Motupa is looking forward to the challenge that comes with playing for the treble champions.

The 26-year-old former Baroka and Chippa United hitman joined the Brazilians from the now defunct Bidvest Wits this week.

He joins a star-studded Sundowns line-up, alongside fellow new signings, and Wits' teammates Haashim Domingo and Ricardo Goss.

Motupa, who will battle for a place upfront against Sibusiso Vilakazi, Peter Shalulile, Ali Meza, and Mauricio Affonso, said he is ready for the "challenge".

He said on FARPost: "Mamelodi Sundowns is a big club, when you go there you know there is quality.

"Everyone that is playing for Mamelodi Sundowns is good, so you must just be ready for the challenge that is coming ahead, and I think I am ready for the challenge and to work hard to make sure that I make it to the starting 11.

"What I can promise is that I am there to bang goals, that's why they signed me, to help the team achieve more things that they have already achieved. To be part of Sundowns is a great feeling."
