Three men from Delhi who created a fake online job portal and cheated people desperately looking for jobs in the pandemic, were arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB).

The accused were identified as A Arif Khan (31), S Wajid Khan (29) and G Sandeep Kumar (24). Shivshankar of Velachery, who lost his job due to COVID, applied on the website, Times4Job.com. A man identifying himself as customer care executive asked him to pay Rs 3,000 for better job offers. Believing him, Shivshankar sent the money online. Later, he was asked to pay Rs 8,000 more for opportunities abroad. In all, Shivshankar reportedly lost Rs 1.45 lakh to the fraudsters.
After he filed a complaint with the Central Crime Branch (CCB), the bank fraud prevention wing Investigated and found that the website itself was fake. A special team led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Saravanakumar arrested the trio from Delhi. They were remanded in the city.
