Seeing their daughter's interest in baking, Vinusha's parents took her to many entrepreneurs meets in Chennai. A few months later, she started a venture called Four Seasons Pastry. "The venture name is based on four seasons of the year — I make cakes, cupcakes, and other treats. The cupcakes are inspired by the four seasons. The base for the cupcakes would remain the same, but the cream and frosting differs. For eg, in winter cupcake, I make snowflake fondant. Apart from cupcakes, I also make brownies and sandwiches," says Vinusha, who is now 10 years old.

 The young baker has also launched a baking kit a few months ago. "The technologicallydriven world is running in short of ideas to grab children’s attention from gadgets and screens. Contributing to this noble cause, I have come up with a baking kit that can help children to bake cakes without the help of any technological device. The kit is not restricted for usage by kids, adults can also make use of it for cake-baking. The baking kit is designed with necessary ingredients and bakeware helping any novice baker to interpret the science behind baking," the Class 5 student at Amrita Vidyalayam, KK Nagar, says enthusiastically.

 During the lockdown, Vinusha has started taking baking classes for children. The youngster also gives motivational speeches in many colleges in the city. "I am a selftaught baker, but I do have three mentors who advised me in all stages of my venture expansion. They are Suresh Chinnaswamy, founder of Dosa Kall, pastry chef Lakshmi Reddy and Geethakrishnan sir, who is also in the pastry field. My parents are also supportive and give me great suggestions."

 She admits that she has learned how to balance her studies and baking. "I do a lot of experiments at home and every time I create something I make a note of it. After my studies, I wanted to expand my dessert business throughout the country and globally. I wanted to set up a baking institute for those who cannot study abroad. I do have more plans — I am just taking one step at a time," she sums up.
