Man's body found hours after fierce Logan house fire
The body of a man who died in a house fire south of Brisbane in the early hours of Sunday was found on Sunday afternoon.
Police and emergency services were called Nyanza Street in the Logan suburb of Woodridge shortly after midnight to a house fully engulfed in flames.
The roof and upper level of the house collapsed.
One person escaped the blaze but a man remained unaccounted for until authorities working at the scene found his body late on Sunday afternoon in the burnt-out house.
Police have declared a crime scene as investigations continue into the cause of the fire, with the street expected to be reopened on Sunday afternoon.
