Violent protest in Dungarpur for recruitment of SC candidates to unreserved posts!

In Dungarpur, Rajasthan, hundreds of tribal youths are demonstrating the demand for recruitment of SC candidates to vacant unreserved posts. The protest turned violent on Thursday in which dozens of policemen and officers were injured.


30 protesters have also been arrested on charges of violence. The furious mob stopped the movement of vehicles in NH-8 and pelted stones at security personnel for hours. However, the protesters were later driven off the highway. There is a demand for the youth of the tribal community who are protesting, to fill the vacant 1167 unreserved posts of teachers from backward caste (SC) candidates. Collector Kanla Ram of Dholpur district said, 'Demonstrations are still going on on the highway, efforts are on to implement law and order. Police have arrested 30 people so far.

Hundreds of candidates had come on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad National Highway from Thursday evening when the demands were not met.
