Actress Deepika Padukone, who was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after her name surfaced in the alleged drug chats during the probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death, arrived at the agency's office in South Bombay on Thursday for first round of interrogation.

According to a Times Now report, the 'Padmaavat' actress was spotted entering NCB's SIT office at 9:48 am on Saturday. Clad in a beige saree, the actress was seen being escorted by the police officials into the building amid heavy security.


Padukone is expected to be grilled by the NCB on the basis of the WhatsApp chats where she is allegedly discussing banned narcotics and substances. Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash, who was questioned by the team on Friday, has also been asked to remain present for further questioning on Saturday, PTI reported. Padukone's questioning by the NCB team has already begun with KPS Malhotra leading the investigation.

Meanwhile, 'Kedarnath' actress Sara Ali Khan and 'Chhichhore' star Shraddha Kapoor are also expected to reach the NCB guest house soon, Times Now reported. The two are expected to leave their home shortly.


As per Times Now, previously, initials of five celebrities were revealed, namely – K, D, S, N, and J in the alleged drug chats that surfaced. The report further stated that ‘D’ has been allegedly identified as Deepika Padukone while 'K' was her manager Karishma.

Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh’s names emerged in the probe after Rhea Chakraborty had allegedly named them in her statement to the NCB. While Shraddha’s connection to the case was reported after it emerged that she had joined in to celebrate the success of ‘Chhichhore’ at Sushant’s Lonavala farmhouse, where drugs were allegedly used.
