According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am, the number of infection cases in the country rose to 58,18,570 after 86,052 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in a single day. At the same time, after the death of 1,141 more people in the last 24 hours, the number of dead increased to 92,290. According to the data, 47,56,164 people have become infection-free so far. The death rate of patients from COVID-19 is 1.59 percent.
According to him, there are 9,70,116 patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus in the country, which is 16.67 percent of the total cases. In India, the cases of COVID-19 crossed 20 lakh on 7 August, 30 million on 23 August, 40 million on 5 September, and 50 lakh on 16 September. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 6,89,28,440 samples were tested till September 24 in the country, of which 14,92,409 samples were tested on Thursday.
