Equities open gap-up; TCS gains over 3%

It is a positive start for Indian equities on Friday and tracking a rebound in global markets despite uncertainty about the economic outlook and the Coronavirus situation.

At 9.15 am, the Sensex was up 358 points at 36,912, and the Nifty was up 104 points at 10,910.

About 1,140 shares have advanced, 332 shares declined, and 568 shares are unchanged on the NSE.

All other sectoral indices are trading in the green led by Nifty Metal and Nifty Pharma.

Cipla, Dr Reddy's, Hindalco, TCS and Divis Lab have risen up to 3 per cent, while SBI Life, HDFC Life, ONGC and NTPC have lost the most up to 1.80 per cent in the early trade.
