Coronavirus cases are on the rise in the country. At the same time, the number of people recovering from infection is also increasing. During the last 24 hours, 86,508 new cases of corona have been reported while 1,129 people have lost their lives. This information has been given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
According to the data released by the ministry on Thursday morning, 8 6,508 new cases have been reported in the country during the last 24 hours while 1,129 people have died. With this, the total number of cases in India has reached above 57 lakhs. The total COVID cases in the country have risen to 5,732,519. The number of active cases in this is 9,66,382 while 46,74,988 patients have been cured or discharged from the hospital or have left the country. At the same time, 91,149 corona patients have died.
Kovid-19 deaths in the country are 1.59 percent. According to the data, 9,66,382 patients are still under treatment for coronavirus in the country, which is 16.86 percent of the total cases. In India, the cases of Kovid-19 crossed 20 lakh on 7 August, 30 million on 23 August, 40 million on 5 September, and 50 lakh on 16 September.
According to the Secondary Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 6,74,36,031 samples were tested till September 23 in the country, out of which 11,56,569 samples were tested only on Wednesday.
