The internationally recognized England-based Weble and Scott Company will now be built in the industrial area of ​​Sandila. The construction of the factory at Sandila Industrial Area has been completed under a technical agreement signed with the Syal Group of Lucknow.

Work is also underway to make different parts of Ashlee. At present, .32 bore revolvers will be made here. Which will cost 1.6 lakh? The Webley & Scott Company, which provided arms to various armies during the two world wars, has set up a factory in Sandila with the Syal Group of Lucknow.

For the first time in India, the Webley & Scott Company decided to set up its production unit and chose the Sandila industrial area. Surendra Pal Singh, director of Sayal Manufacturing Private Limited, says that the Rs 100 crore project is now in the final stages.

In 2017, Syal Group applied for permission for armament creation after seeking a technical agreement with Webley & Scott. In March 2019, the government had also issued a license giving permission for this.

Construction of the factory was completed in about a year. The director says that 22 people have also got employment in it. Currently, .32 bore revolvers will be manufactured here. The body, barrel, etc. are being manufactured, it will be launched in the market in November.

Air guns, shotguns, pistols, and cartridges will also be made in the next phase. The weapons to be manufactured here will be tested at the Ordnance Factory. Surendra Pal Singh said that the Weebley & Scott Group has a 49 percent stake in the manufacturing unit, while the Syal Group holds 51 percent. If permission is granted in the future, weapons will also be manufactured here for the army.

Application has also been done for testing range

Surendra Pal Singh said that an application has been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs for permission to set up a testing range for testing of materials made in the Sandila factory. He hoped that soon after completion of all the procedures, permission will also be given.

Now Sandila will get modern identity

Sandila has been identified differently since time immemorial. Maharishi Shandilya took place in Dwapara Yuga. Due to his association with them, the town was named Sandila. The Shandilya Tila is still here. There is mention of Maharaja Sallih in the 16th century. People belonging to a particular caste call Sandila the city of Maharaja Salih. Sandila has also been identified with laddus, but now it has got a modern identity. It will now be said that Sandila is where the Weble Scott people are made.

The factory is built in 32 thousand square meters

According to the information received from the Deputy Commissioner Office of UPCIDA and Industry, the arms factory has been constructed in Phase Two of Sandila in an area of ​​32 thousand square meters.
