PMK Founder Dr S Ramadoss on Wednesday sought the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in reopening the Ahmedabad Tamil Higher Secondary school at Mani Nagar in Gujarat from where he was elected to the State Assembly during his tenure as Chief Minister of that State.

Chennai: In a tweet, Dr Ramadoss said he was saddened to note that the school was closed citing reduction in student admission. He said the school was located at Mani Nagar from where Modi was elected to the Gujarat Assembly during his tenure as the Chief Minister.
‘’Modi, who has love and respect for Tamil, should intervene and take immediate steps to reopen the school’’, Dr Ramadoss said. On many occasions, Modi has expressed his love for Tamil on almost every forum, be it in India or during his foreign visits. He had quoted Tamil poets and literary works in his international addresses and alsowhile addressing the soldiers on the Indo-China border.
Dr Ramadoss also urged the Tamil Nadu Government to contact the Gujarat government and take steps to re-open the school.
