In Mumbai, due to heavy rains till late Tuesday, waterlogging occurred at various places. The drivers were stranded for several hours due to heavy water filling in the roads. The police, with the help of the local people, evacuated the stranded drivers to the safe place. At the same time, due to heavy rain, water was flooded at Sion railway station in Mumbai. The passengers remained hidden under the tin shed till late at night.
On the other hand, due to the water filling in the tracks, the passengers had to wait for the train for a long time. Local train and bus services were stopped given deteriorating conditions due to rain.
Bus and rail services were stopped with immediate effect. Due to heavy rains many trains had to be canceled, due to which many people remained stranded at the station for hours. The Indian Meteorological Department has said that there may be heavy rains in Mumbai on Wednesday. The department has forecast cloudy and heavy rains.
