The Delhi health minister, Satyendar Jain, has said there is no shortage of medical oxygen in Delhi for treatment of Covid-19 patients.
He said that some suppliers have been told to cater to Rajasthan first, but added the issue is being resolved.
“Delhi government hospitals have six to seven days of oxygen stock,” he said.
On Monday, the health minister said there are around 1,000 ICU beds available in Delhi, and 30 per cent of the Covid-19 patients admitted to Delhi hospitals are from other states. “There is no problem in the availability of plasma right now in Delhi. Mostly coming from outside Delhi require ICU beds currently. Anyone can check on the Delhi Covid app regarding the availability of beds, nothing is concealed... Anyone can check it,” he said.
He also said that the ICU beds and other beds are being increased continuously across the National Capital.
