On Wednesday, 'Kedarnath' script co-writer Kanika Dhillon took to her verified Twitter account to recall how late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was moved to tears when he heard the ending of the film. She added that writing the character of Mansoor, that Sushant essays in the film, was extremely special.
In her tweet, Kanika also emphasised on the need to celebrate Sushant`s legacy as an artiste.
"#SushantSinghRajput writing Mansoor 4U ws special!U gave it ur all!U teared up as I narrated d end o #Kedarnath d 1sttime-last shot Mansoor leaves us wid a haunting smile n a heart full o love forever! U made us all cry! Best way2 celebrate U is2 celebrate ur legacy as an artist (sic)," Kanika tweeted along with a collage of two pictures of the actor.
In one of the photos Sushant can be seen training with sandbag on a treadmill for his role in the film and the second is a still from 'Kedarnath'.
In the film, Sushant played a `pithoo` (a porter who ferries people up steep mountain paths) named Mansoor, in love with Sara Ali Khan`s Mandakini.
Directed and co-scripted by Abhishek Kapoor, the film is about a Hindu girl (Sara Ali Khan) on a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath Temple, where she meets and falls in love with a Muslim porter (Sushant) who becomes her guide. The film is set against the backdrop of the 2013 Uttarakhand floods.
