Mumbai sees rain spells, thunder; conditions to persist till Wednesday

Late on Monday afternoon, parts of the city, Thane and Navi Mumbai saw intense spells of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places on Tuesday; moderate rain or thundershowers towards evening or night for the next 48 hours.
