On 21 September, the total test count crossed six and a half million, in a campaign to check the global pandemic COVID-19 in the country to prevent the ever-increasing outbreak.
According to data released on Tuesday by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), on September 21, nine lakh 33 thousand 185 samples of coronavirus were tested in the country.
Till 21 September, the total number of samples of corona tested in the country reached 6 crores 53 lakh 25 thousand 779.
On September 20, a record 12 lakh six thousand 806 samples were tested in a single day. The first case of coronavirus in the country was revealed on 30 January. The number of investigations until April 6 was ten thousand. After this, as the cases of the virus increased, the investigation of samples also accelerated. On July 7, the test number of samples touched one crore and thereafter it increased rapidly, and on September 17, it reached the figure of six crores.
Earlier, a record 11 lakh 72 thousand 179 samples were tested in the data that came on September 3 in the country. This was the record of most investigations in a single day not only in the country but also in the world.
