The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has developed a nano-coated magnesium alloy that can overcome bone disorders of rabbits.

Teams of several institutes also participated in this research work. Encouraged by the results, researchers are now planning to use it to differentiate other animal and human bone disorders.

This magnesium alloy is considered a good alternative to differentiate bone disorder as it has biocompatible, biodegradable, and many other important mechanical properties. It is the fourth metal found abundantly in the body and is known to strengthen bones.
