Mother drowns in holiday swim with daughter at Sunshine Coast beach
A 34-year-old Darling Downs mother has drowned during a holiday swim with her daughter at a Sunshine Coast beach.
Emergency services were called to First Bay at Coolum, off Jubilee Esplanade, just after 6.30am on Monday after reports of the incident, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

The woman, who Nine reported had been swimming with her 11-year-old daughter before being pulled to shore by surfers, was treated at the scene but could not be revived.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
