Modi lays foundation stone for Rs 14,000 crore highway projects in Bihar!

Before the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stone of nine highway projects to be built at a cost of Rs 14,258 crore. Apart from this, he also inaugurated optical fiber internet services to connect all 45,945 villages of Bihar with the internet.


After laying the foundation stone and inaugurating these projects through video conference, Modi said that today is another important day of Bihar's development journey. He said, "The number of people using the Internet in villages of India will ever be more than urban people, it was difficult even to think a few years ago. Village women, farmers, and village youth will also use the internet so easily, many people questioned this too. But now all these situations have changed. ''

He said that today India is in the line of the world's leading countries in digital transactions. He said that when fast internet will reach every village, it will be easy to study in the village. He said, "Children of the village, our rural youth will also be able to easily access the world's books, technology at a click."

Many leaders including Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi attended the event. Apart from Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Minister of State for Road and Transport General VK Singh from Delhi, many ministers including RK Singh, Giriraj Singh, Nityanand Rai attended.

Today, the nine highway projects are to be constructed on 3500 km long roads. These projects include the development of the Bakhtiyarpur-Rajauli section of the National Highway, Ara-Mohania section, Narenpur-Purnia section, Patna Rig Road (Kanhauli-Ramnagar) section along the Mahatma Gandhi Setu on the Ganges River in Patna, 14.5 kilometers on National Highway-19. Construction of a long four-lane bridge, 28.93 km long four-lane bridge over Kosi river, and 4.445 km long four-lane bridge parallel to Vikramshila Setu on National Highway on river Ganga.
