Covid-19 caseload has crossed one lakh seventy five thousand mark in Odisha. With 4090 recoveries in the last 24 hours, a total of 1,41657 people have been cured of coronavirus so far. The death toll in the state has increased to 691.
While the state’s covid-19 fatality rate at 0.40% and positivity rate at a little more than six percent are hitting new bottoms, the recovery rate continues to climb new highs- the latest being at about 79% .
Yet another development points to the increasing number of infected persons with no or mild symptoms seeking home isolation. Accordingly, the state administration has put in place several surveillance and support mechanisms like 24/7 helpline number and door to door health screening to guide the patients on and goad them towards a better adherence to the protocols of home isolation.
