Chennai: In the maiden clash of IPL 13 Chennai Super Kings in its clash against arch rivals Mumbai Indians has won the toss and chosen to bowl.
Mumbai Indians was off to a flier with keeper/batsman Quinton De Kock asking tough questions to the Chennai bowlers.
But, just when the Rohit/De Kock partnership grew unstoppable spinner Piyush Chawla took an easy wicket that would embarass Rohit Sharma.
To the surprise of Mumbai fans who thought Rohit will anchor the MI innings, the unexpected Saurabh Tiwary steadied the ship with the 31 ball 42, courtesy three boundaries and one maximum.
But that too couldn't size up to an innings defining performance as Jadeja got rid of Tiwary.
What worked for the men in yellow is their agile bowling that never let partnership settle and they took wickets at regular intervals.
Pacers and spinners worked in a beautiful tandem leaving the MI batsmen with no respite.
And not just that, their clinical bowling reflected with being able to bowl dot balls at the death overs even to a monstrous Kieron Pollard (dismissed for 18 of 14 balls) who could effortlessly slog the ball over the fence.

The onus now lies on the CSK batsmen to see their team home complementing their bowlers' exceptional display.
