Covid-19: Spike in cases highest in Mumbai and second-highest in Maharashtra

While the state reported 24,619 new Covid-19 cases, its second-highest daily surge, Mumbai added 2,411 fresh cases, its highest daily count so far. This is the second day in a row when Mumbai has added a record number of cases. The total caseload of the state is now 11,45,840 and that of Mumbai is 1,78,385.
