Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday assured the farmers of the country that the bill on agricultural reform passed by the Lok Sabha will act as a defense for them and due to the implementation of the new provision, they will be able to sell their crop in any market of the country at their desired price.
The Prime Minister accused the opposition parties, especially the Congress, that they were trying to confuse the farmers by opposing these bills and supporting the middlemen with the looters of farmers' earnings. He urged the farmers not to fall into this confusion and be vigilant.
Modi said this in his address on Friday after dedicating the historic Kosi Rail Mahasetu to the nation and launching 12 rail projects for the convenience of railway passengers of Bihar.
Modi said, 'Historical Agrarian Reform Bills have been passed in the Lok Sabha on the day of Vishwakarma Jayanti tomorrow. These bills were very important to protect the middlemen between the farmer and the customer, who take a large part of the farmers' earnings themselves. These bills have come as a defense shield for the farmers.
He said that those who have been in power for decades and have ruled the country, they are trying to confuse the farmers on this subject and are lying to them.
The Prime Minister said that the APMC Act, which now these people are doing politics, is opposing the change in the provisions of the agricultural market, the same change was also written in their manifesto. But now that the NDA government has made this change, these people have come down to oppose it.
He said that now propaganda is being carried out that the benefit of MSP (Minimum Support Price) will not be given to the farmers by the government. It is also being said that the government will not buy paddy-wheat etc. from farmers. This is a false lie, wrong, farmers are deceived.
The Prime Minister said that the Central Government is committed to providing fair prices to farmers through MSP. He said that government procurement will continue as before, any person can sell his product anywhere in the world. Can sell wherever he wants. Modi said that the NDA has done more for the farmers in the last six years than it has ever done before.
He said, 'Today I want to tell the farmers of the country very humbly. I want to give message Do not get into any kind of confusion. It is very important for the farmers of the country to be vigilant with these people, beware of those who ruled the country for decades, and who are lying to the farmers today. Those people are beating the prey of protecting the farmers today. He said that those who oppose these bills want to hold the farmers in many bonds.
The Prime Minister said that giving farmers the freedom to sell their products to anyone, anywhere is a very historic step. He said that the peasantry of India will not remain in bondage in the 21st century. The farmer of India will openly cultivate. Wherever the mind is, it will sell its produce. Will sell where there is more money. No middleman will be fascinated. This is the need of the country and also the demand of time.
