The ultimate breakfast hack: 'Air fryer guy' wows thousands with his morning bacon and egg meal that is ready in just seven minutes

  • An Australian man who calls himself 'Air Fryer Guy' has gone viral on TikTok
  • He shares videos putting different types of food or objects in the Kmart air fryer
  • In one of his latest uploads the mysterious man made a full breakfast in minutes
  • He places a slice of bread with a cracked egg on top and bacon as well
  • The popular $89 device 'fries' meals without the need for extra oil to be added

An Australian man who goes by the name 'Air Fryer Guy' has taken the internet by storm with his inventive seven-minute breakfast using Kmart's popular $89 air fryer.

The bearded man, who rarely shows his face online, started sharing videos on TikTok in January, but has only recently gained traction for his niche cooking methods.

In one of his latest uploads the Air Fryer Guy placed a slice of bread into his air fryer, cracked a single egg on top and placed a slice of bacon to the side.

'I'm going to have to do this in a few minutes. It looks delicious,' one person wrote underneath his video.

'I tried this this morning! It saved me so much time and I had a nice meal before work! Thank you,' said another.

Air fryers rose to prominence as a way to 'fry' food without submerging it in oil.

In some cases the food will become a crispier version of itself, which is what happened to the Subway sandwich, a cob loaf he filled with leftover pasta and mozzarella he put on baking paper.

While other instances saw pink and white marshmallows become a wobbly 'cloud' fused together, Hubba Bubba gum, Starburst and sour worm lollies melt or cookie dough mixture form a cake.

Air Fryer Guy made Ferrero Rocher chocolates wrapped in dough turned out to be bite-sized biscuits, Arnott's Tic Tocs melted to a caramel consistency and corn on the cob became popcorn.

He started by unwrapping the Starburst
Then he placed them in a bowl to be melted

Starburst lollies melted into a syrupy mess when he removed them from the air fryer

Not all of his videos are believable, with many saying his pancake batter attempt - which saw him pour five lots of batter onto baking paper and put it into the fryer - doesn't work
Did he make these fluffy pancakes in the air fryer or not?

The same was said about his Apple TV remote control being put into the device, only to come out as an Apple Mac. Or his grandfather's watch coming out as his family member's ghost.

Alongside the videos the man creates a 'jingle' to frame what is happening on the screen, singing as he cooks.

Some of his most popular ones are 'The Bacon Song' and 'Where the Smiles are Free'.

'When I first got the air fryer I was kind of scared of it,' he told Fox News

'The settings and timing were very different to an oven or a microwave. It was almost like a "magical" machine that could do anything.

'I figured that most people would feel the same way, so I started putting random things into it like money, potted plants and an Apple Watch. Just for a laugh.'

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Slams BJP State Chief: Lost His Mental Stability

'Lost His Mental Stability': Kerala Chief Minister Slams BJP State Chief

Thiruvananthapuram:

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday lashed out at BJP state chief K Surendran, for raising "baseless allegations" against the former's family in the LIFE Mission (Livelihood Inclusion and Financial Empowerment) project "kickbacks" matter.

Mr Vijayan, when asked about the BJP chief's allegations, said K Surendran has "lost his mental stability" and, without any sense of decency, has been raising allegations without any basis.

"The party (BJP) should ponder as to why it has kept a mentally flawed person as its president. Surendran has lost his mental stability. It's as if he can say anything. Shouldn't there be a sense of basic decency? Shouldn't he say what his statements are based on? Should one just issue statements on a whim?," Mr Vijayan asked.

At a press meet on Monday, Mr Surendran alleged that the investigation agencies should probe and interrogate Mr Vijayan's daughter and said his family members were allegedly involved in securing kickbacks in the Life Mission project.

"Pinarayi Vijayan is not like Mr Surendran. I'm used to opposing corruption. That habit has helped me keep my head high whenever there are allegations against me.

When someone sees that I rule without corruption, such allegations will arise. Can my daughter or son or family be labelled corrupt because of pure allegations?" Mr Vijayan asked.

Life Mission project was envisaged by the state government for construction of free houses for homeless poor in the state and at least 2.26 lakh houses had been built and handed over to homeless people in the state under the project so far.

Mr Surendran has alleged that the fire incident at the state secretariat was intended to remove the evidence against the chief minister's office in the gold smuggling case.

However, the state government had rebutted this allegation and said none of the files were destroyed as the filing was under the e-filing system since long back.

The Opposition parties have been alleging that the prime accused in the gold smuggling case was involved in securing commissions with relation to the Life Mission project.

North Wales coronavirus test centre chaos as motorists queue for hours only to be turned away

UK Government officials says 'capacity is the highest it has ever been'

Queues formed outside the Deeside Industrial Estate coronavirus testing centre on Tuesday September 15 2020
Queues formed outside the Deeside Industrial Estate coronavirus testing centre on Tuesday September 15 2020

More coronavirus testing centre chaos has been reported at a North Wales facility.

Last night people expressed anger and frustration, after queuing for hours at the UK Government run testing centre, on Deeside Industrial Estate.

Then some said they still couldn't get a test because time had run out or a code wasn't sent to complete it and they were turned away.

On Twitter one person said: "My daughter was sent to Deeside, booked in, had the test done, but they didn't send her the pr code so the test was ruined and she has to go again tomorrow to Deeside."

Another said: "Just spent 3 hours in a 2 mile queue at Deeside drive in only to be told no test. Thousands sent message in error telling them they had 7pm appointment. Total shambles."

And another Twitter user added: "Absolute chaos trying to get a covid test (not me, I was driving) 2 days online before offered a test 20 miles away at Deeside. Then a two hour queue backing up the whole road for miles. No tests when you got to the front, apparently. We came home."

It comes after other North Wales problems booking tests and a school staff member being offered a test in Inverness, Scotland.

The Department of Health and Care (DHSC) have repeated problems are down to a huge demand for tests, including from people who do not need one.

A DHSC spokesman said: "NHS Test and Trace is working and our capacity is the highest it has ever been but we are seeing a significant demand for tests including from people who do not have symptoms and are not otherwise eligible.

“New booking slots and home testing kits are made available daily for those who need them and we are targeting testing capacity at the areas that need it most, including those where there is an outbreak, and prioritising at-risk groups.

“Our laboratories are processing more than a million tests a week and we recently announced new facilities and technology to process results even faster. If you do not have symptoms and are not eligible to get a test you can continue to protect yourself if you wash your hands, wear a face covering and follow social distancing rules.”

According to the DHSC an estimated 25% of tests are being booked by people who are no elligible and shouldn't be coming forward.

The number of test centres are also set to increase to 500 by the end of October.
