Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index gains 1%; Divi\'s Lab rises 3%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Pharma index was trading higher at 01:01PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Divi's Laboratories (up 2.62 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (up 2.19 per cent), Lupin (up 1.51 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 1.29 per cent) and Dr Reddy's Laboratories (up 1.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Alkem Laboratories (down 1.22 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.09 per cent up at 11575.35 around 01:01PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 51.30 points at 11573.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 175.28 points at 39219.63.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland and ITC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Radico Khaitan, Vinati Organics, Strides Shasun , RIL (PP) and Hexaware hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while CKP Leisure Ltd., SKIL Infrastructure Ltd., Kuantum Papers Ltd., Twentyfirst Century Management Services Ltd., Mangalam Global Enterprise Ltd. and Blue Chip India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
