Apple launched the Apple Watch Series 6 at its September event. It is a usual affair for Apple to launch its products in this time of the year but yesterday's event was unlike before. There was no announcement on the iPhone 12. But Cupertino had a pleasant surprise for its fans. It introduced an affordable version of its smartwatch. It is called the Apple Watch SE. This is short for Apple Watch Special Edition, much like the iPhone SE stands for iPhone Special Edition.
There are several things that Apple said are special about the Watch SE but the most apparent special point here is the affordable price of the smartwatch. It is way too less than what the Apple Watch Series 6 and should attract more customers than before. Of course, there are some trade-offs on the Apple Watch SE to account for the lower price but they are not bad enough to be a deal-breaker. Long story short, the Apple Watch SE could entice more customers, especially in markets like India, than the Apple Watch Series 6 would.

The Apple Watch Series 6 starts at Rs 40,900 while the Watch SE starts at Rs 29,900. The sale is expected to begin in October but nothing is concrete as of now.
