Clone trains for Indian Railways’ passengers! Now, getting confirmed tickets will be easier with the commencement of more IRCTC special trains. Indian Railways has decided to run 20 pairs of clone special train services from 21 September 2020, considering the huge demand for travel on specific routes! These clone trains will be fully reserved trains and will run on notified timings. According to the national transporter, these clone special train services will be in addition to the IRCTC special trains which are already in operation. Indian Railways has also announced that the reservation for these clone trains will start on 19 September 2020. In the past, Clone Trains have not been operated on the Indian Railways network so in case if you are wondering about clone trains, here are some things to know:

What are Clone Trains?

  • The clone trains have been proposed based on the patronization of already operating IRCTC Special trains on the Indian Railways network with limited stoppages/halts and faster transit time. As the name suggests, these clone trains are a replica of the original trains on a route, aimed at meeting high demand by passengers.
  • Clone trains will be primarily 3 AC train services and will run ahead of the already operating Special trains by Indian Railways.
  • The national transporter has announced that these clone trains will be operationalized on the railway routes having high patronage and demand.
  • The speed of clone trains will be higher than the existing special trains.
  • The Advance Reservation Period (ARP) of these Clone Trains will be 10 days.

Supermarket 'Karen' tries to STEAL a grandfather's Ooshies | Daily Mail Online

Student slams supermarket 'Karen' after she tried to STEAL Ooshies from elderly man who was collecting them for his grandchildren

  • A supermarket 'Karen' has gone to great lengths to secure more Ooshies
  • According to 20-year-old male shopper she tried to steal them from an old man
  • The grandfather was hoping to collect them for his seven-year-old grandchild
  • Woolworths released new line of exclusive Disney+ Ooshies on August 26
  • Shoppers can collect one of the figurines with every $30 spent in store or online

An Australian supermarket 'Karen' has tried to steal a grandfather's Disney+ Ooshies he was collecting for his grandchildren.

A 20-year-old male witness shared the 'disgusting' story on Reddit, saying that he felt the woman wanted to 'sell' the plastic figurines online for a profit.

The male student had been harmlessly shopping at Woolworths, spending a total of $60 and earning three Ooshies in the process.

Not wanting to keep the toys for himself, the student decided to give them to someone who might appreciate them more.

'I see an older gentleman and ask if he would like the Ooshies. He said yes and that his grandchildren would love them as the oldest one is only seven,' the man recalled.

A 20-year-old man shared the heartbreaking story on Reddit , saying that he felt the woman wanted to 'sell' the plastic figurines online for a profit

'Perfect, so I hand them over and that's when I hear a troll clearing her throat. I turn around to see a Karen staring at me while standing next to her son, as he just looked at his phone. I wasn't in the way or anything so I just gave her a confused look.'

The woman proceeded to ask him why her son, who was 14, couldn't get a share of the Ooshies.

'He's a little old. I wanted to give them to someone with young ones as kids love Disney,' the young shopper responded.

She asked if instead the man would be open to 'trading' with her, but the grandfather wanted his grandchildren to be the ones to open the packet because 'that was half the fun'.

This reportedly angered the 'Karen', who told the older gentleman to 'just give me the damn things' before she lunged forward to snatch them out of his cart.

The collection includes silver, gold, colour changing, glow in the dark, and additional glitter editions, which can all be kept in a special limited-edition Ooshies box

'I see this coming so I grab her around the wrist stopping her from taking them. People started watching the incident,' the Reddit thread continued.

'A manager from the store came running over and the old man started talking. I think that startled Karen because she then let go and walked off.

'I'm still p**sed with how it panned out because Karen was only trying to get them in pursuit of the rare ones, most likely to sell. I seriously f**king hate Ooshies if you couldn't already tell.'

Plenty of commenters said the woman 'had some nerve' for harassing an elderly man in that way and that the country's love for Ooshies was 'getting out of control'.

RTI Reveals VK Sasikala May Be Released From Jail In Jaunary 2021: Report

RTI Reveals VK Sasikala May Be Released From Jail In Jaunary 2021: Report

"As per prison records, convict prisoner number 9234 Sasikala's 'probable date of release' is January 27, 2021, provided in-default fine amount is paid as awarded by the honourable court," Superintendent of Central Prison at Parappana Agrahara, R Latha said in response to an RTI query.

RTI Reveals VK Sasikala May Be Released From Jail In Jaunary 2021: Report

Bengaluru:

Late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's aide VK Sasikala, serving a four-year term in a corruption case in Bengaluru, may be released from jail next January provided she paid the fine amount of Rs 10 crore, Karnataka Prison department has said.

VK Sasikala, lodged at the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bengaluru, was convicted and sentenced in February 2017 in the Rs 66 crore disporportionate assets case.

The reply was to the query by activist T Narasimha Murthy on September 11.

Ms Latha added Sasikala's "probable date of release" would be February 27, 2022 if the fine is not paid.

The officer explained the probable date of release may vary if Sasikala utilises a parole facility.

She will have to pay Rs 10 crore to walk out of prison on January 27, 2021, else spend another 13 months behind bars.

After the Supreme Court restored the trial court judgement against Sasikala and two of her close relatives in the disproportionate assets case, (VN Sudhakaran and J Elavarasi), she surrendered before the court in Karnataka on February 15, 2017 and has been lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.

Her two relatives are also undergoing four years simple imprisonment and all three of them were slapped with a fine of Rs 10 crore each.

With the death of Jayalalithaa in 2016, who was the first accused in the case, the appeal by Karnataka against her stood abated.

Last week, Sasikala's counsel had expressed hope of her early release, possibly by the end of this month, citing remission for good conduct.

As per norms, three days of remission for good conduct is available for every month in jail and so far, she has completed 43 months, making her eligible for a reduction of 129 days in prison,

"The Karnataka Prison Manual does not have any provision barring remission to those convicted for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

"As per the manual, I strongly believe that she will be released by the month end," her advocate N Raja Senthoor Pandian had said.

When the remission of 129 days is applied, the release will be during the month end and not the previously expected date of January 2021, he had said.

Sasikala has already spent a total of 35 days in jail in 1997 and 2014 and availed a 17 day parole in 2017, which is deducted from the period she already served, he had said.

A four-member Special Investigation Team was formed by the Punjab Police to investigate the matter.
