The Government of Rajasthan has issued a circular on Tuesday, directing the economy to be economical because of the extraordinary impact on the state's financial resources due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
According to the circular, the expenditure of the funds available for expenditure on various items of the budget for the year 2020-21, such as office expenses, travel expenses, computer maintenance, stationery, printing and writing, publications, libraries, and magazines, up to 7 percent in this financial year Will be limited
According to the circular, the authorized officials for air travel will travel only in the economy category, travel will be completely banned in the executive and business category. There will also be a complete ban on airfare and travel abroad on state expenditure.
Additional Chief Secretary Finance Niranjan Arya said that these guidelines are being issued with immediate effect in continuation of austerity circulars issued earlier for the regulation of state expenditure due to the epidemic.
According to the circular, the trips made for official work will be kept to a minimum. Meetings will be conducted through video conferences as much as possible. At the same time, the purchase of new vehicles has been banned.
All types of machinery, equipment, tools, plants, and other new items, except materials and equipment, cannot be purchased for prevention, treatment, and assistance of victims of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Only equipment can be purchased to operate the schemes. State banquet and gift purchase, hospitality, and hospitality expenses will be banned till further orders. All state programs, Bhoomi Pujan, inauguration ceremonies, etc. will be conducted through video conferencing, taking simplicity and austerity, and if possible.
New sanctions for cash payment in lieu of accrued holiday payable to state officials and employees will be postponed in this financial year. In the current financial year, all types of training, seminars, workshops, festivals, and exhibitions will be organized online as much as possible.
The guidelines given in the circular will apply to all state undertakings, companies, boards, universities, subsidiaries, bodies, and all the organizations financially dependent on the state government, wholly or partially.
